andrewsgifts

This came about because I lost my son 5 days before his 21st birthday.  We ( Andrew & I) had talked a while back about organ donation when he saw my drivers license and the little heart on it. He asked about it and I told him and then he said that's what I want to do also. So when the time came it was really my only choice. To honor his wishes. It was one of the easiest decisions I have ever made and I am so glad everyday that I did. Andrew would be tickled pink to know he was still helping people. I hope you will visit the become a hero page and sign up to be a donor if you haven't already.

Andrew was a great kid. He loved to laugh and to make you laugh. He grew into a nice young gentleman. He loved his son more than anything and was always telling me of the things he planned to do with him when he was older.

He loved video games and movies. He loved God and he loved his family and friends. He would give you the shirt off his back if he thought it would help you. He was definitely a people person.  We want to help spread the word on organ donation. Andrew helped two young men to be able to see. One was totally blind and the other was going blind and they each got one of his corneas. He has helped numerous burn victims with his tissue donations. He donated bone, tissue, eyes, etc.. whatever could be used to help others.
